SMS notification questions

Do players need an app for texts?

No. Messages arrive as standard SMS on their phone. The public board is a browser link.

Can I run a tournament without SMS?

Yes. Leave tournament SMS off and run tables and the public board only.

Will every plan text automatically on assignment?

Notifications are controlled in-product and may be sent through a notify-assigned action. Plans gate whether SMS delivery is included or an add-on.

Is this the same as marketing blasts?

No. Match callouts are for the live event. Future-event follower alerts are a separate opt-in.

What if a text fails?

Check number format, opt-out status, and the plan or SMS toggle. Contact support for live-event issues with LIVE EVENT in the subject. Contact support.
