Send and check match notifications

Separate assignment from messaging and interpret notification history correctly.

Before you begin

Messaging capability, tournament SMS enabled, eligible player contact details and notification choices. The interactive demo disables real SMS and email.

Workflow at a glanceIllustrated overview · labels match the guide below
  1. 1

    Assign

Seat the ready match; no automatic message

  2. 2

    Send deliberately

    Use enabled notification controls

  3. 3

    Review attempts

Sent means provider acceptance, not confirmed delivery

  1. 1

    Check configuration

Review notification capability in Settings and the tournament's SMS toggle. Check entrant phone numbers and Notify by SMS choices. Email options depend on email availability.

  2. 2

    Send when players should report

Use Notify all assigned on Bracket, or Tables → Setup & tools → Notifications and text tools. Review the recipients and any confirmation. Assigning tables, starting matches, or opening a screen does not itself send report-to-table messages.

  3. 3

    Review Notifications

This screen lists notification attempts. Sent means the configured provider accepted the message; it does not prove the phone or inbox received it. Review skipped or failed attempts and any error detail.

  4. 4

    Use player result links separately

When your event has access, open Tables → Setup & tools → Player self-report links (optional), then Prepare player result links. These are private links for individual players. Generating links is separate from sending messages.

What to check afterward

You can distinguish a table assignment, a deliberate send, and a recorded provider response.

Never share a player's private result link publicly. The demo cannot verify real delivery, carrier opt-outs, or billing entitlements.
