Choose a bracket format
Understand elimination paths and choose the format and sheet before building the draw.
Before you begin
Know the field size and available playing time. Format and sheet choices are in Settings.

- 1
Single elimination
One loss eliminates a player. Winners continue along the bracket. This generally requires fewer matches than formats with a second-chance path.
- 2
Modified SE / Second Chance
The selected sheet gives designated losses a second-chance route, then feeds survivors back into the tournament. It is not full double elimination. Follow the displayed winner and loser destinations; byes and the chosen sheet affect the actual matches played.
- 3
Double elimination
Players follow winners and losers paths. A player is eliminated after a second loss. If the losers-side finalist wins the first Grand Final, the If Necessary final decides the tournament.
- 4
Splashboard (16-5)
A full 16-player board with no byes. Winners of matches 13, 14, 21, 24, and 25 qualify. Everyone else is out after a second loss. Loser drops are labeled L TO / L OF.
- 5
Save settings, then generate
Choose Bracket type / format and Bracket sheet size in Settings and select Save all setup changes. Changing these settings does not rebuild an existing draw. Generate from Entrants / Seeding, then inspect the bracket.
What to check afterward
The generated draw uses the chosen format and sheet. Review byes and routes before starting play.
Do not promise every player two played matches simply from the format name. Byes, withdrawals, and sheet routing affect participation. Rebuilding an existing draw replaces results and table assignments.
